  • Kate Van Der Riet
  • Kate Van Der Riet's work investigates her relationship with the world around her. This investigation takes the form of commonly found subjects that are used as actors to experience and communicate this relationship. Though her work investigates larger notions of the human condition, subtlety is of the utmost importance as she seeks to find beauty and obscurity where it is often overlooked.

  • The Chiapas Support Committee is a grass roots all-volunteer organization in Oakland, California that supports indigenous and campesino organizations in Mexico and has an hermanamiento (partnership) with San Manuel autonomous Zapatista municipality. The CSC organizes delegations to Chiapas and provides public information about Chiapas through public events, radio programs, a newsletter, a listserv and several web sites.
